Thanks to a brilliant mind(s) on the NBC Sunday Night Football crew, the Seattle Seahawks had the annual SNF Thanksgiving victory feast with Michele Tafoya squarely on the 50-yard line at Levi’s Stadium, directly on top of the logo of the San Francisco 49ers. It was a little like that creepy, murderous villain in Game of Thronesdrinking out of the skull of the commander of the night’s watch.
Okay, maybe it wasn’t that extreme, but it was still a perfect way to cap the game. Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson standing all over the Niners’ new logo, ripping into some turkey legs like, well, people on Game of Thrones? Awesome. But was this merely a happy coincidence or a deliberate plot to fan the flames of the most incendiary rivalry in football?
